Everything That Rises Must Converge (2021)

Made in the summer between my first and second year of graduate school, during Covid-19. Vaccines were released and the world was starting to open back up, but not really.

The title is taken from a Flannery O’Connor short story of the same name, which is taken from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s quote, “Remain true to yourself, but move ever upward toward greater consciousness and greater love! At the summit you will find yourselves united with all those who, from every direction, have made the same ascent. For everything that rises must converge.”
